From the Founding Artistic Director

Eliz-McKoyDear Friends,

I’m thrilled to invite you to our sixth full season of Berkeley Playhouse productions. This season we are happy to bring you  A Little Princess, The Music Man, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Shrek: The MusicalIf you’ve attended any of our recent performances, you know that we take seriously the three characteristics we require of all Berkeley Playhouse mainstage shows.

They must be:

Intelligent / Relevant / Soul-stirring

Our mission is to change the lives of children and families through the magic of live theatre but the success  of Berkeley Playhouse lies with you – the audience, the student, the funder.

Don’t miss a thing!
As a season pass holder you will be first to pick your show dates, pick your seats, and register for classes or events. Season pass holders pay less then single ticket buyers and never pay additional fees!

Become a student or performer!
We have a thriving conservatory of classes, camps, and programs for youth – all led by professional directors and teaching artists. If you have ever though about performing, stop thinking and just do it! Theatre arts are varied, fun and invigorating. Give it a try! We also have annual auditions for adults and youth.

Consider making a donation to Berkeley Playhouse!
We could not operate without the generous support of theatre-lovers like you.

I hope you and your whole family will join us for a season of unforgettable music theatre right here at the historic Julia Morgan theater, in the beautiful neighborhood of Elmwood in the heart of bustling Berkeley!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth McKoy
