Patrons with special needs:
It is important to let us know in advance if your party includes patrons with special needs so that we can provide the best service and assistance.
Wheelchairs:  Julia Morgan Theater accommodates wheelchairs and adjacent seats for wheelchair companions on the right hand side of the theater.  These seats can be booked online through the normal ticket booking process on our website at www.berkeleyplayhouse.org.  The special wheelchair seats are GREEN and RED and are easily selected on the right hand side of the seating map.  When these seats are selected, the subsequent booking will indicate to us that a wheelchair is expected, and we can accommodate entrances and exits for the party with assistance of our House Manager.
Please call the Box Office at 510-845-8542 #397 for any other special arrangements.

Children:
We are a family theatre and as most of our shows are suitable for audiences of all ages, we love having children in the audience. Please remember that when it comes to art and performance, you are the best judge of whether your child is ready to come to a performance and what is appropriate or inappropriate for your child. Please check our website where we often list a parental guide for the show or give us a call if you are not sure.
Please remember that everyone occupying a seat must have a ticket and for your own comfort and those around you, children over 2 may not be lapsat.
If your child should become loud or squirmy, please exit with the child to the lobby as soon as possible until your child settles down.

Student discounts:
UC Berkeley and other students 17 and over with Student ID may purchase Student Rush Tickets up to one hour before show if seats are available. These are typically a deep discount for main stage performances.  Please note that the student discount is not for adult students.

Fees:
Berkeley Playhouse may charge additional ticket purchase fees, depending on the current policy.  The box office will let you know what the latest policy is for services fees.

Teachers

Berkeley Playhouse supports children’s education in the arts and extends complimentary tickets to teachers.  These special tickets can only be booked through the Berkeley Playhouse Box Office, and are designated for full-time, credentialed K-12 faculty members and administrators of Berkeley and Oakland schools who teach for public or private institutions. Complimentary tickets for teachers may be extended for both Berkeley Playhouse professional and youth company shows for free, depending on seat availability!
If you are interested in a complimentary ticket to one of our upcoming shows, please send an email from your official school account to:  boxoffice@berkeleyplayhouse.org and include the following:

•    school where you teach and school address
•    your school email address

Reservations are available starting 4 weeks prior to the show. We cannot guarantee any specific seat assignment unless reserved with a paid companion ticket.  Companion tickets can be bought at the same time as making reservation.
Your ticket will be emailed as an E-Ticket to your school email address, and should be presented to the usher at show time.  Please print your E-Ticket and bring it with you.
We hope you like what you see well enough to recommend our programs to the students and families (and other teachers) at your school!

Group Sales

A Group is considered to be a booking of NN tickets or more under a single name, in a single transaction.   The number for a group may change, so it is important to check the latest policy with the box office. Berkeley Playhouse generally extends a volume discount of 20% for Professional performances, and 10% for Youth performances for regular performances.  This discount applies to all ticket types, such as General, Senior, etc.  Shows which are already discounted, such as Previews and Pay What You Can performances, are not subject to a volume group discount.
•    Advance Booking:  Group sales must be made in advance of the show with payment by credit card.
•    Additions to Groups:  If additions are needed for a previously booked group, they must be made through the Box Office, three days in advance, in order to receive a discount.  These discounts cannot be made at the Door.

Bookings at Show time: Sorry, Groups which appear for booking at showtime without a prior group reservation cannot receive a group discount.  Also, we cannot guarantee that additions to groups that are made at show-time will be discounted or placed with group.

Complimentary Tickets

Advance Booking:  Complimentary tickets must be booked through the Berkeley Playhouse box office.  Please request through email to boxoffice@berkeleyplayhouse.org.  You will receive an email confirmation of the ticket from Berkeley Playhouse.
Name of Ticket Holder Complimentary tickets are issued by the Box Office according to established Box Office policies, and are booked under the account name of the person who qualifies for the ticket.  It is helpful to add the name of the person who will be using the ticket to the Order Notes, which appear in the Will Call list.
Complimentary Tickets at the Door:  People who book complimentary tickets at the door must have a ticket voucher, or a Berkeley Playhouse staffer or board member to authorize the complimentary gift.  Normally all complimentary tickets are booked ahead of the show by the box office.
