Audition for Youth Company Programs
TEEN COMPANY/HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SHOW: Little Shop of Horrors!
AUDITIONS: Teen Company auditions for Little Shop of Horrors will be held September 20, 4-5:30pm and September 27, 4-5pm (for students who cannot make the September 20 date). Call Backs will be held on September 27, 5:30-7pm (*change from October 1). Auditions will be held at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts. Email alexis@berkeleyplayhouse.org with questions.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Initial Auditions: Auditions for our Teen Company Show this season will result in an offer of a role/offer of a space in the program. During initial auditions, students will all learn and sing music from the show, work on movement sequences, and will read different sides (scenes) and roles from the show. Please be prepared to stay at the audition the whole time (indicated above).
Callbacks: After the initial audition, you then may be invited to the callback where you will be asked to come prepared to sing/read for a specific role. Please be prepared to stay at the callback the whole time (indicated above).
We recommend that you come to the audition familiar with the music/sides from Little Shop of Horrors that will be posted on this website in early September. Accompanist provided.
Though we would love to offer each student who auditions a spot in the program, the number of students cast will be based on number of roles in the show. We may be casting understudies/swings. We look forward to seeing you at auditions!

The teens will be paired with a professional actor as their mentor during the process, helping to guide their learning, offer extra performance coaching and a question and answer session about their field andcareer. Attendance at all performances is required. Email us to find out more: casting@berkeleyplayhouse.org
