MONDAYS: BFG THEATRE LAB

September 15 to November 17; Mini performance, November 18
GRADES 4-6
A skills based acting lab for intermediate performers using themes and scenes from The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) as teaching and learning modules. The children will explore the imaginative world of Roald Dahl culminating with a presentation on the actual stage of the professional BFG production!

September 16 - December 9 @ The Julia Morgan Center for the Arts Studio C
INTRO LEVEL (3rd grade and up) ~3:30-4:15 pm
INT/ADVANCED (4th grade and up) ~ 4:30-6:00 pm
An examination of Jazz dance techniques through an exploration of jazz dance styles. This class will build confidence, strength, flexibility and repertoire, by covering all the dance vocabularies necessary for sparkling music theatre performances.

Another scrumdiddlyumptious musical stage adaptation of a Roald Dahl classic. Students who are accepted for this program will solidify their skills in ensemble collaboration, acting methods and music theatre techniques covering song, dance and movement, and gain real world experience in performing for an audience. Young actors with previous stage experience please apply and note preferable rehearsal day on application. 5th graders will be placed in Wednesday program only. For 6th, 7th and 8th graders being available both days will be helpful to your placement in the program. Everyone accepted into the program will be guaranteed a role.

Students who are accepted for this program will refine and solidify their skills and techniques in acting, singing , dance for stage and gain real world experience in performing for an audience.
