WINTER 2009 / ONCE ON THIS ISLAND
A soul-stirring Caribbean tale of love and loss across social class barriers, this moving story based on The Little Mermaid is a non-stop parade of colorful characters, hip-swaying music and intoxicating choreography. Created by Ahrens and Flaherty, song-writing team of Ragtime, Anastasia, Seussical, the Musical, it was nominated for eight Tony Awards when it played on Broadway in 1990. The Berkeley Playhouse production is directed by Kimberly Dooley (dir. of the Berkeley Playhouse sell-out success Seussical The Musical) with music direction by Phil Gorman and choreography by Dane Paul Andres. SUMMER 2009 / PETER PAN - THE MUSICAL
Our summer mainstage show takes flight on July 17, 2009. One of best musicals of all time - a play that always captures the imagination and never fails to make audiences "believe" in fairies.
